Have you ever been camping before? On three days of excitement years 5 and 6 had their school camp there were all sorts of things like kayaking, the game called get lost, rollerblades, basketball and tennis. The first activity we did was practising our dance for our concert. We made heaps of cool moves and tricks. There were much of smiles when we were doing our second activity that we did was all the cool sports gear that was in the hall. Every sweating like pigs in the oven. Lots of noise and music. As we went into the hall everyone in my group maanaki yelled out “YAAYY LOTS OF GEAR”.
I tried out tennis first I played with phazon but things didn't work out then. I tried out basketball it was the best activity I have played. I Kyan got the longest shot out of all the basketball players that were in the hall. Miss V said surprisingly to us “come and sit down”so all of us packed up and sat down then Miss V started talking how well we were behaving. Then Miss V sent us off our next activity was Toptown with experienced Mr J. He told us all the rules. When he was done telling us. we went off really fast and started making water balloons. As soon as we heard the horn we all ran back. Kyan was making the most water balloons he was tieing it really fast. Screaming eels in the pond, Terrifying sharks trying to eat people up, and the river of doom. of cool so we left Top town and we went to the school hall to some more activities so we can make most of our time before morning tea. Ipads and he yelled get lost so me and my team ran off and tried to find the first and it was under the markinee so we ripped it off and it said we have to build humpty dumpty with the stuff you have in front of you and it was cardboard bits. The second one was to put face paint on and dress up in to things and we had to take a photo after A long day we watched A movie it was despicable me 2 the movie started cutting of in the middle so we had to go to sleep.
The next day we woke up in surprise because it was the second day of camp so we all had to get changed and went the hall to do our fitness it was Just dance. It was so cool because you get to stretch your bones and it wakes you up really fast. After that we had some breakfast it was rices or weet - bix after we had that we could have spaghetti on toast. When we finished our breakfast we washed it and took it back to our tents after we did the we began our activities Maanakis first activity was Kayaking so we got all our togs ready and we went down to the beach. We all were excited. There were lots of kayaks. everybody in the kayaks were really good. For doubles it was kind of hard because me and my partner wasn't doing it in time. We had A fabulous time. After A good time of kayaking we had to leave and go to the school hall.
We played basketball, tennis, table tennis, and badminton I played basketball and table tennis. It was extraordinary. our camp group herd the bell for morning tea so we left everything there and went to eat food and we wondered around then we saw people playing in the hall so we went in and I played basketball and table tennis. Then Mrs Jacobson said ‘‘YOU GUYS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN HERE ONLY CAMP STUDENTS’’ in A loud voice. All of the school students ran away but all of the camp students stayed and enjoyed their morning tea. Then the morning tea bell rang and morning tea ended. after A hard day of activities and fun stuff we had our camp concert. When maanaki went up to dance I felt A bit worried and nerves when the music played I felt A little bit better because it was fun but when we had to go and get parents I got Taimana’s Mum and we started dancing. I was named the best dancer of the night and our group won the camp concert for 2014. We all had to get changed into our PJ’S and go to bed in our tents.
The next day we were going to the mangere pools there was bursts of excitement. We couldnt wait we just wanted to jump in the pool. First thing in the morning we went to the hall to do this thing called just dance 4 it was an enormous burst of fun then we went to have some breakfast under the markene we had rices or weetbix after we finished our breakfast we went and got some spaghetti on toast after we finished we had to wash our bowl cup and plate we ran and put it back in our tents and we got changed and ran back out. We sat back down. We were waiting to here if we can go yet as soon as mrs garden yelled “get ready for the bus because were going to the pools.” Everybody was saying “yayyyyy.” we had to sit on the grass when we got there. I was so bored sitting there waiting for the others when we. When we were swimming i got out of the pool and started playing games. When finished at the pools it was so disappointing that we had to go. It was so fun. After that we went into the hall and finished off camp with a karakia. Just in time the bell rang. And we all went home happily seeing our parents.
