My Cross Country Experience....

As I awoke feeling a combination of emotions, mainly fear and excitement. “Ohhh no, it’s Cross Country” I yelled with fear. As I walked down the hallway the smell of freshly cooked eggs punched my face. “Ohhh yum” I shockingly said. “Thanks Nana” I said. As I was running to school I could hear the barking of dogs. “Hey” Shaitarn said as I entered the school gates. “Where's Tihi” I said, “I don't know” said Shaitarn.

As Tihi and I were sitting down on the hard court people were drawing motivating things on their arms and legs so I thought it’ll be a great idea to draw on myself too. It was so hot as if someone threw us into a oven on 80 degrees to turn us into rubble. Years 1 & 2 please go to the starting line please. It looked as if they were terrified. On you marks, get set, GO!!! They all took off and the whole school was standing up watching...

“Get out of the way” I said to Tihi in a stern voice, as I shoved my way to a better spot. “Stop hogging all of the space” I said. As the sun was burning us into rubble and I dug my feet deep into the wet dirt, my heart was racing with excitement and also nervousness. Mr Burt says the starting positions in a slightly stern voice. On your marks, get set, GO!!! I heard everyone's feet slip off the wet slippery mud. Everyone took off like a pack of wild wolfs. I hear everyone huffing and puffing and eventually some of them stop. Me and Tihi started fast walking.

“Oww Oww” I said as I was standing on the sharp sticks. It felt like my feet were bleeding. As I started my pace again Miss Lavakula was encouraging us to run. My feet sunk straight into the mud, it felt very nice, nicer than the sharp thorn like sticks. As me and Tihi ran past Mrs Squires she said some more motivating things. As Tihi and I entered the second lap we were highly exhausted. It felt as if my lungs were going to pop. I could hear the encouragement from all the little kids. As we entered the school gates and we were going to finish me and Mararoa had a bit of a sprint race. And guess what...I WON!!!

Now im starting to feel a little sad because that was the last EVER cross country I will do at Pt England...
As I entered my class room a sense of relif and pride hit me. Finally, im never doing that again...

Immersion Assembly...

     We Are The Champions:
As you can see our topic this term is WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS...This means a new start for me. As I entered the Immersion Assembly I could feel the artificial air on my skin. Wow, there are so many people here today, I thought everyone would be all home “Pretending” to be sick. So as I sat down a boost of laughter from the little kids and the energy of the music was blaring and that was the thing that I was expecting for the first day of school. “Mr Burt, Mr Burt” all the little kids were yelling. He entered with Kevin kiwi and Mr Jacobson and Mrs Garden were following him pretending to be the Boom operator and the Cameraman. “Kia Ora Pt England” says Mr Burt. As you can see this Terms topic is WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS. So that means that we should leave everything bad behind and really focus on what we really want in the future. So let's get into it, IT’S TEAM ONE!!! There topic was all about how to keep our bodies fit and the food we eat...So Miss George stood up and talked to us about what Team 1 was up too. My highlights were Teams, 4 and 5.

The reason I liked these acts was for numerous things. First of all they were funny, silly and cool. Those were the things I was watching very closely for. First off I’ll tell you what Team 5 did, they did a genre of acts that were in the olympics like Hula Hooping, Chinese Ribbon and Gymnastics. And Team 4 did Family Feud. It was so funny because they said the most dumbest answers ever...They asked what sport involves water and they said, Swimming, Shot Put, Diving and Discus. Can you spot the things that “don't” involve water. If you can't it's Shot put and Discus.

The Assembly was a blast and I can't wait for next Terms Immersion Assembly. But sadly it will be the Year 8’s last !!!EVER!!! Term in Pt England and im going to make it the best Term of my life,
